Larry Alan Coan passed away on February 14, 2021.
He is survived by his beautiful sister Carol, gentle brother Gary, his handsome nephews, and his adoptive daughter Rev. Dr. Jase Wieczorek.
Larry was Dr. Jase's adoptive dad who took the time to talk to a broken Marine and break down her walls in order to teach her that love exists and that you can choose your family.
This stoic and pure hearted man taught her more than any of her blood relatives.
- He taught her that loving and caring for someone is worth the risk of heartache.
- He taught her that sometimes it’s prudent that you just listen to someone when they’re talking because sometimes that’s all they need to do in order to feel better.
- He taught her that the souls of people and destiny are intertwined and we will see each other again.
- He taught her that even if you have no material possessions that the truest friendships that you forge will always remain vigilant and by your side no matter what.
- He taught her to have conviction and to stick to whatever she's doing because if she believes in herself, she can do anything.
RIP Larry Coan.
Dr. Jase's heart is breaking and her brain is wondering why loving someone has to hurt so much.
He served on our board of directors at Wizard of Paws Wildlife Education & Education Inc. He will be missed by our entire staff.
